Triple 3 Skate Deck Size Guide

Skateboard Size Guide

What Skateboard Deck Size should I get?

It's hard to make sure you get the right size deck. So many sizes, shapes and concaves to choose from. We're written this handy sizing guide to help you through your choice.

The main factors to consider when choosing the perfect sized deck is your size / foot size, your level of experience and what you want to achieve. The main size of all decks is in inches and refers to the width in the middle of the deck.

What Skate Deck Width Should I Pick

When you pick a skate deck size, it's referring to the width of the board in the centre of the deck in inches.

Your Feet should poke out a little on each side of a good sized deck. Not too much so you are hanging off and not entirely on the deck.

The correct deck width will ensure you have a smooth and responsive ride and will effect the stability and control you have.

The general rule is that the wider the board the more stable it is, suiting people with larger feet and / or those who like a steady ride.

A narrow deck would suit people with smaller feet and those who want to perform tricks and need added responsiveness.

How Does My Style Effect My Deck Choice

Again there is no set in stone rule. But if you want to street skate or focus on performing tricks then something a little more narrow will suit you perfectly. If you want to cruise on a stable deck then go a little wider.

Some Suggestions for our sizes

Deck Size 8.0

Our narrowest current Skate Deck size.
Perfect for Teens or more experienced skaters who want to focus on tricks

Deck Size 8.25

Our mid sized deck. Still a good platform for tricks.  Great for street skating.

Deck Size 8.50

Our most popular deck. A good mix of balance and responsiveness. Good all round deck.

Deck Size 8.75

Great if you want a more stable ride or if you have big old feet.

What Deck Concave Should I Choose?

Now you've picked your deck width size, you can come onto concaves. Some of our decks only come with one concave which is always a medium concave, but some have 2 options.

The concave refers to the curve of the deck on each side. If you look down your deck from one end (the long way) it is the curvature of each side.

Medium Mellow

Provide a good solid stable deck for you to ride on. Better for beginners.

High Medium

Slightly less stable, but great for mastering flips and tricks.

Deck Wheelbase

All our Decks come with a 14.25 wheelbase. It refers to the measurement between the 2 wheels inside holes on the deck. We find a 14.25 is a good size for an all round level of control and ride quality
